!NOTE from descendant Gary Barton "There is considerable confusion about this William Barton b. abt 1780, his uncle William Barton b. 1761 and his first cousin William Barton b. 1810/1815. All were in a small geographic area then called Indian Creek, Kentucky now in the village of Woodbine, Knox Co., KY at about the same time. "Young" William Barton b. abt 1780 and "Old" William Barton b. 1761 are both buried in the Old Helton Cemetery near Indian Creek in Woodbine, Knox Co., KY."
